In-Depth Synopsis[]

The Episode starts in the Sub-Basment of Solitude, Sam and Geek are trying to make Max clean and brush his teeth while strapped down to a chair. The Geek's Phone Rings and Sam & Max chase to grab it, like always. When answering the call, Sam tells Max that The Commissioner gave them a new case! The Commissioner told them about strange activity in the little town of Bohunk Lagoon. Many Locals and Kayaks started to disappear one by one without anyone noticing, Sam & Max must go to Bohunk Lagoon and find out what's happening!

There is just one problem.. Their DeSoto got squished into a box of metal because of their previous visits at a wrecking yard caper. They have two choices of transportation. They could either use The Vespa to drive there, of their Freelance Police Boat to ride it in the sewers.. Sam & Max immediately pick the latter and drive off with their cool looking boat. As they drive it in the sewers, they crash through and out of a porta potty and launch through the sky, until dropping right on the river of the lagoon. Sam & Max are intimidated by the Lagoon's Appearance at night, and try to drive off to land.. Little do they know, a green and large monster is stalking and following them along the way..

Sam & Max eventually get to land, and discuss on how exactly the people of Bohunk started disappearing, either from War, Famine, or Ramptant Cannibalism. As they are wondering on how it all happened, a Crazy Old Man, presumed to be the last man living in the town, walks in and warns them about a monster who eats brains and turns people into zombies. He then hears the monster's loud growl, he warns Sam & Max one last time before running. Sam & Max at first make fun of his appearance and way of warning them, but then quickly find out he was right, as Sam points at a bunch of Locals walking in a zombie-like state, right into the waters of the Lagoon.

Sam & Max sneakily pretend to walk like them to follow where they are going, and find themselves in an underwater secret base, owned by none other than Mack Salmon! Sam & Max are familiar with him and his hate for the Freelance Police, but they really don't take him seriously, like always. Sam & Max get cornered by his two henchmen, and before being taken away, ask Mack Salmon if he could atleast show them what his plans were. Mack agrees and tells them to behold his newest invention...

Sea Chimps. That's it? He's stealing 86 people and turning them into Zombies for Sea Chimps? However, these aren't regular Sea Chimps. They're Sea Chimps that look just like they do on the box! (and have a tiny beach ball!) Mack Salmon is planning to use these Sea Chimps to sell them, and also genetically enhance the others ones to make Food Related Sea Chimp Products to take over the entire market and use it for nefarious purposes. And thanks to his Zombie Workforce, he will be able to do anything afterwards! But how did he turn them into Zombies exactly..?

It was because of The Previously Mentioned Monster, Mack Salmon's Muskie. The Muskie is an enslaved mutant fish who steals the brains out of people to turn them into Zombies, and is what was causing all of the trouble on Bohunk Lagoon. Muskie tries to take the brain off Max, but accidentally ticks off his speech center, causing Max to fool around in different voices, and bounce around the room where Mack Salmon kept the brains of his victims.

Muskie catches Max and strays off the attention of the two henchmen holding Sam, this gave Sam a chance to run up to Mack Salmon, grab him from his bowl with his immense strength, and threaten Muskie to leave Max alone, otherwise he'll throw Mack into a toilet. Mack commands Muskie to spare Max, and then afterwards, Sam & Max stop his scheme.

After stopping Mack Salmon, they returned the brains of all the people of Bohunk Lagoon, stopped the Sea Chimp making process, and let the mutant Muskie free. The Old Man from earlier thanks Sam & Max from saving his town and his people. The People of Bohunk Lagoon would then go on to give Muskie a second chance at a promising career as a live stage performer for the little town. And so, another case is solved by The Freelance Police, with their cool boat, they drive away back home in honor of another job well done.

Trivia[]

  • One of the brains in the closet of Brains Muskie was stealing, has the name Purcell on it, an obvious reference to Steve Purcell, the creator of Sam & Max.
  • There are other brains labeled other things such as Mario, Bass, and Fox who are all possibly references to Video game characters, and one labeled Cubby with a floating wooden stick in it. A few of these could also be names of the team behind this, but it's not confirmed so yet.
  • There is a reference to KFC, called CFC (Sea-Fish Chowder)
