| The Moon |
The Moon is a location appearing in Bad Day on the Moon, in both the comic and the cartoon episode of the same name. It also appears in the sixth episode of the Telltale series: Bright Side of the Moon.
Locations[]
Though the moon isn't often seen, there are a few important locations shown throughout the series. Oddly enough, though the events of Bad Day on the Moon do appear to be canonical to the series, the rat city and dark side of the moon are neither shown nor directly mentioned.
Moon Rat City[]
A large, bright city located on the light side of the moon, populated entirely by rats. It appears to be at least relatively similar to some American and Western European cities on earth.
Not much is seen of it, seeing as Sam & Max only visit a handful of locations, but it's shown to have liquor shops, casinos, and a large castle inhabited by the mayor, who is a massive disembodied rat head.
Though the general appearance of the city is relatively similar to those on Earth, the technology appears to be far beyond that of humans, since a jar apparently used to make peanut brittle is capable of revitalizing Max from brain waves, dust and a bit of his fur alone.
Dark Side of the Moon[]
Blocked off from the light side of the moon by a forcefield capable of disintegrating anything that steps in it (including Max). The dark side of the moon is inhabited by giant cockroaches, and the architecture is meant to resemble an 80's-style American kitchen. The only known shop is a cafe located in what resembles a tipped-over cereal box.
