The Glazed McGuffin Affair is the 15th episode in the series The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police.
Synopsis[]
Sam & Max try to get Kent Standit, who has banned the Freelance Police's favorite snack 'Glazed McGuffins', to change his mind, by forcing him to at least try it out.
In-Depth Synopsis[]
The episode starts with a morning in which Sam and Max travel from their home to Slothmart while singing their weekly 'Glazed McGuffin' song, expressing their love for their favorite food snack to buy from the store. As they enter, they find out the titular Glazed McGuffins have been banned, which upsets Max. After calming him down with a slap and interrogating Sal Manella about if any are left, they find out the person behind the ban was Kent Standit, the head of the Snack-Food and Drug Administration, banning them because of their contents being too unhealthy.
Sam and Max decide the only way they're going to bring back Glazed McGuffins is by convincing Kent to try the final few batch that the duo have. They first try by convincing Kent they bring salvation, but it fails as he claims he never will try them. Sam and Max try more desperate tactics, such as calling him late at night, almost shooting them into his mouth at a parking lot, and even sneaking a McGuffin in his mouth at the beach, which all sadly fail. Kent has had enough and runs away in fear, as Sam and max only have one McGuffin left, they have only one more desperate attempt left to save their favorite snack.
Sam and Max confront Kent once again, who has now locked his doors and even shivers and trembles at home in fear. Sam and Max stick a Toothbrush in his mouth, wrap his tie onto the doorknob, give him a flossing, and just barely shoot another McGuffin into his mouth, until he snaps the toothbrush in his mouth and immediately drives away in his car to escape. Sam and Max decided to follow him with their DeSoto to make him at least reconsider unbanning them.
After chasing Kent almost throughout the entirery of The United States, Kent stops his car in Horror at the very entrance of Wisconsin, which coincidentally has a now abandonded Glazed McGuffin factory right next to it. This makes Kent finally snap and go crazy with his hate of the snack. Sam & Max follow him as he runs off inside the factory, in which Kent confronts the duo and declares he wants to stuff them into Glazed McGuffins so they may stop following him. Sam & Max survive being sucked through a chicken sucker and getting sawed into pieces as Sam throws his badge onto an emergency stop button, after which they accidentally create a Glazed McGuffin with the leftover ingredients left in the factory.
Kent screams and snaps once again at his failure, in which Sam finally takes his chance and throws into Kent's mouth. As Kent chokes it down and swallows it, he finds himself to actually really enjoy the snack, in which Sam & Max celebrate in realizing they have lifted the ban on Glazed McGuffins. After meeting up with him eating leftover piles of them, Kent informs them that Glazed McGuffins are better than Pizza Poultices, which are the food he's banning next.. unfortunately for him, Sam & Max love them, too. This makes Kent angry once again, and as he runs off in fear, Sam chases him and Max takes out a Pizza Poultice himself and slams it as the episode ends.
