Trivia[]

  • According to the original presskit, this was supposed to be the seventh episode in order.
  • During the Funhouse Ride Attraction scene, we see many references to the show's previous episodes, and even the only implementation of ideas and concepts that never saw the light of day.
    • Images [1] and [2]: In the ride, we see sculptures of characters seen in previous episodes, these include:
      • The New Guinea Pig Leader from Max's Big Day.
      • An Octopus seen in the montage from The Thing That Wouldn't Stop It.
      • Lactose The Intolerant from The Second Show Ever.
      • And The Large Cockroach from Bad Day on The Moon.
        • Images [3] and [4]: In the background of one scene, we see sculptures of Sam & Max playing Tennis in a sunny background. Considering that previous sculptures referenced already existing episodes and events, it could seem that the sculptures seen in these two backgrounds could be related to an episode that was either supposed to happen or an episode that got cancelled. This is just a theory and it's up to Steve Purcell to confirm, considering he wrote the episode and was the art director for it.
          • Image [5]: In this scene before Sam & Max fight the dummies, we are introduced to sculptures of Mack Salmon from They Came from Down There (and later The Final Episode), as well as Hack Hatchet, a character who was documented in The Sam & Max Series Bible, and a character named The Crimson Bonehead, who was neither in the cartoon or in the series bible. Since this episode was written by Steve Purcell, it's possible he included them in as a way to still feature and use concepts and ideas for characters he was hoping to include in the cartoon, but probably weren't added in due to the studio executives choices.
