For those who are unaware, Lost Media is a term to describe any piece of Media that is believed to no longer exist or being lost having a small chance for anyone having it in any format. Physically, Digitally, Visually, etc. Sam & Max, like almost any franchise in existence, has it's fair share of lost media, that used to exist at one point in time, and is now no longer available to the public, leaving it lost forever in the sands of time. However, miracles can happen, because each year Lost Media can be somehow found by users with enough research, exploration, investigation, and much more. Anyone can feel free to help the group into searching for Sam & Max lost medias. Or fill the page with more of them, if you feel like something may be lost media, feel free to write about it on this page!
Since the creation of this page, the community has created it own Discord Server in search for these relics of the past. The Discord Server for Sam & Max lost media investigation can be found here: https://discord.gg/7hKBXENBpZ.
You can join this server to help with searching the medias (@helper), or just to be notified when any medias gets found (@looker).
If you wish to begin the Lost Media adventure, I recommend checking WayBack machine Sam & Max websites, searching info through more than one searching machine (I recommend using Yandex as a second search engine), but most importantly, try to choose one topic that you'll be focused about, and feel free to run your imagination and search for the thing you're searching for on other websites (not only Sam and Max website) that may mention the thing you're searching for.
Sam & Max: LOST MEDIAS[]
This Section covers the completely lost media about Sam & Max. These things may not be found in a long time or even at all. Finding stuff for this category may be really tough and depending much on a searching skills, but finding any small piece of medias that can attach in here is always worth a shot!
--- Fox Kids Family Funfair Max costume (1998) (LOST) ---[]
DounutButton bought a copy of a Fox Kids magazine, he noticed that there is a part mentioning about "Fox Kids Family FunFair" that was said it includes cartoon character's mascots, in the list we could see Max from Sam and Max (Which mascot pictures we're searching for). Zaptor37 was helping a bit by finding some pictures on the internet of the funfair, meanwhile, DonutButton was searching for the info of this funfair. Now we know the mascot was used in more events than the "Family funfair of 1998". All the needed info was noted in a document, which is available to read in the gallery below (With all the photos that were found).

--- Sam and Max Comic Con mascot (2007) (LOST) ---[]
JoWood/The Adventure Company (European SnM season 1 publishers) commissioned a giant Sam and Max mascot from GameTap. Germans from THQNordic made the mascot, and sent it to the place of the San Diego Comic Con 2007 event. Mascot was walking around, bothering people, and even dancing. Then after the end of the Comic Con 2007 event, the mascot was sent from America back to the Europe to the JoWood. Then the costume gone unknowingly, as JoWood stopped to exist in 2011. No one knows where it is and in what state it is. Previous TellTale workers (Skunkape team), are still hoping the mascot will be found. This lost media is kind of "irl media", so it will be way harder to find this one.

--- Sam & Max, Press Kit (1997) (LOST) ---[]
Long time ago, there was a website about Sam & Max made by the fans of the series. One time, they saved 4 pictures from the Sam & Max Cartoon "Press Kit", which appeared first on TV on "Thursday, November, 27th, 1997" on MediaTV (MediaTelevision) / CityTV. It's the first date, so video had a chance to appear more times. Person named "Dave Choe" saved pictures of it back in the days of it's arrival in the TV, no one has a contact with him now (as his email from 1997 expired), and as the website in waybackmachine didn't saved any photos and didn't had any videos, the only hope to find it is contacting Dave Choe and asking if he still has the footage on VHS, or searching for the person who might have saved "MediaTV" videos in their VHS collection archive. From my research, CityTV was aired only in USA and Canada at the time. Press Kit was mostly a talk about stuff that were going with the Sam & Max cartoon behind the scenes.

--- Radio Titanic Song Voice Over With Cartoon Voices (LOST) ---[]
Exitance of this lost media is quite unknown, there was a comment of a person, claiming there was a Voice Over in a Fox Kids Radio station where Sam and Max voices were speaking over the "My Heart Will Go On" Titanic song. No info beside the comment was found, so we may claim it as a "Existence Unknown Media". Sam and Max in fact were appearing in a radio, like in the "Sam & Max fox kids countdown".

Sam & Max: PARTIALLY FOUND MEDIAS[]
This Section covers the Partially Found media about Sam & Max. These things may have a slightly bigger chance to be found and saved. Good thing about this section is that we already have footage / more info to begin with. Finding stuff for this category may be quite easier, leaving stuff in the hands of the people from the fandom.
--- San Diego Comic Con mascot dance (2007) (PARTIALLY FOUND) ---[]
DonutButton started a research about lost Sam and Max video of "Comic Con Mascot Dance" that was on YouTube shorts around 2021. Clip was sent as a link on Twitter by the Skunkape team. Clip was originally posted on a YouTube by a kid called "That cookie loveing Art kid" (@That_art_kid7) and was only 1 minute long. That_art_kid7 decided to delete their YouTube channel, making the video clip lost media. Thankfully, the video was found thanks to "CandyCaneLiquor", who had the video saved on his device. I do believe there's more than just 1 minute of the video, and I think it's just a clip from a longer video, that is lost media. I (Zaptor37) was spending 2 months straight searching for longer clip or original piece of where the media was coming from, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

--- Unfinished Comic Where Max Gets Shot (aka. The Lost Comic) (2011) (PARTIALLY FOUND) ---[]
Back in 2011, Steve shared with 2 panels (Panel 2 and panel 3) of the Unfinished comic he was making. He never felt like finishing it as he isn't very proud of it and he feels like he could make it better. Jake Rodkin (One of Skunkape game developers) said he saw the comic, and that the comic was almost finished, but he doesn't remember much of it as he seen it loong time ago. Not so long ago, Steve shown some panels of the comic (With new panel 1 and 4) during the "pencil to pencil live stream". There was also a panel that was sent in parts around the internet, being ready to be put together in one piece.

--- Steve's college Sam & Max comics (1980) (PARTIALLY FOUND) ---[]
Steve's comics were printed inside of "Weekly newspaper of the California College of Arts and Crafts" in 1980 (As the TellTale interloper says). I do think there was more than 4 comics in print (all the found comics / strips you can find in the gallery below). I've been spending a week to find a full image of the "Cherry Pie" comic which was shown to public in one of Steve's sketchbooks (The Age of S&M), but only as a cropped version. While trying to search, I couldn't find anything (any other SnM related stuff), so it's most likely the people who own copies of the newspaper from 1980 themselves may have some strips of Steve's comics in it.

--- Sam & Max: Freelance Police, Lucas arts game (2002-2004) (PARTIALLY FOUND) ---[]
The game itself is lost, but we still have images of it. A lot of fans think the game was already playable (At least from the office view) and that it was close to get a release. Unfortunately the game got cancelled and all we have is some photos and videos.

--- Sam and Max, cancelled TellTale game promo (Summer 2004) (FOUND) ---[]
This promo was found on the "Super Secret Sam & Max Server", thanks to the mods who reuploaded it after Zaptor37 asked about the video and found a trim of this thing in pins on the server.

Sketch was recently found by DounutButton in one of the S&M DVD videos, youtube version destroys the quality pretty much, but hey! It's still there!
There's no full sketch, but as most Sam & Max medias, there's lost of sketches which are cropped / black and white even tho they got colored (talking about Steve's sketchbooks), that are just waiting to be found!
Sketch from the photos is in the YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sDVXOqElUA&t=9s (9:16)
