Junior is a character in Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse. He is a minor antagonist in Beyond the Alley of the Dolls.
History[]
Junior is the grandson of Yog-Soggoth and youngest of the Elder Gods. Despite being the youngest of his kin, he is immensely powerful as he shattered the supercontinent of Pangea with his birthing wails and sank the proto-civilization of Subarctica with his first steps. In order to keep Junior's destructive behavior in check, Yog-Soggoth brought over the Toys of Power from the Dark Dimension, using them to keep his grandson entertained. But when the Elder Gods were banished back to the Dark Dimension by the Molemen, the Toys of Power and the Devil's Toybox were left behind, leaving Junior restless once again. According to Anton Papierwaite, Junior has "not stopped whining" about not having the Toys for millennia.
In Beyond the Alley of the Dolls, the psychic ventriloquist dummy Charlie Ho-Tep would attempt to summon Junior in order to finally be the young Elder God's favorite toy again (even though he was actually despised by Junior, who referred to the dummy as "Creepy Charlie"). However, his ritual failed as Yog-Soggoth, Sam, and Max tricked Charlie into destroying the Devil's Toybox, resulting in not only his demise, but also in Junior either being destroyed or sent back to the Dark Dimension.
