In 2018, Boss Fight Studios announced that they would be producing a series of Sam & Max themed action figures. Each one is approximately 6" tall and comes with swappable hands and heads, and different accessories.
Wave 1[]
Sam: Includes his hat, his gun, Max paper bag puppet, non-brand specific frozen treat, and interchangeable hands and heads.
Max: Includes his pistol, the Phone, a hammer, a rat, and interchangeable hands and heads.
Wave 2[]
The Rubber Pants Commandos: Zip and Pip each have unique belts, weapons, and essential bottle rations. Sergeant Blip comes with his own chimp-sized belt and harness, pistol with holster, and a yummy snack for a quick banana boost.
Scuba Diving Max and Ratzo the Gigantic Octopus: Includes a diving mask, rebreather, scuba tanks, diving belt and knife, and flippers alongside alternate hands and 3 heads (including alternate ‘gill beast’ head!).
Giant Rotocast Action Figures [Cancelled][]
In early 2023, Boss Fight Studios announced they would campaign two 9-inch "giant-sized" action figures of the MegaMax 3000[1] and Kaiju Sam[2]. The campaign ran from July 14th to September 15th 2023, and if they were fully funded, they'd be produced[3]. Sadly, the figures were not fully funded by the time the campaign ended.
Trivia[]
- According to many reviewers and fan feedback, the Sam figure from Wave 1 has leg limbs which were so tight, that they could be easily broken off.
- Boss Fight Studios initially warned consumers and reviewers about this, recommending to blow Sam's legs with a hair dryer before hand to melt them enough to not be so fragile.
- A rumor concerning the initial 40$ price for Max's figure from Wave 1 was the Phone accessory, which was quite large for a bonus item and contained expensive materials.
